New community-based board of directors
A milestone for the Waterloo Region Catholic
Schools Foundation was the establishment of a new community-based
board of directors in December of 2002. This
new board is comprised of 17 members from three sectors
– business, education and the community-at-large.
They will build on the strong tradition and infrastructure
established by the founding board members in 1994 –
Dorothy Angel, former Chair of the School Board; Dr.
Bill Brown, former Director of Education; and Helen
Mitchell, current School Board Superintendent of Business
& Finance.

Schools Foundation is committed to bridging the gap…
making a difference for our children.
We are leading the Catholic community in supporting
the short and long term financial needs of our schools.
We are committed to working with the community to help
the school system ensure that the potential of all learners
